More than 40 years ago, her father met her mother through correspondence while her mother was living in the Philippines. Their relationship grew through letters and long-distance communication until her father eventually traveled to the Philippines to meet her in person.
They fell in love by correspondence, married when he travelled to the Philippines, and afterwards began the challenging immigration process to be able to build their life together in the United States.
At that time, and as is common to this day, immigration information was difficult to access and scams targeting immigrants were common. Wanting to avoid being taken advantage of, her parents arduously completed the entire immigration process themselves—researching immigration laws, preparing the required forms, and navigating the process step by step.
Her mother immigrated from the Philippines and began building a life in America alongside her husband. She was the hardest-working person Caroline had ever known—working tirelessly to support her family and create opportunities for her children.
Because of her parents’ sacrifices and determination, Caroline was able to pursue higher education, attend law school, and ultimately honor her parent’s legacy by helping other immigrant families lawfully achieve the American dream.

Her immigration journey to the United States began with love, courage, and determination. She was petitioned for a K-1 fiancé visa while living and working in Dubai, far from home but hopeful for the future.
